ENGRAVING INFORMATION
General Information
We use various types of Engraving but always Computerised Engraving Methods to provide the very best results in engraving. Computerised Engraving ensures that the positioning of text etc, is perfectly alligned and that all the lettering is totally uniform. If you have more than one item engraved, you can be sure that they will all match perfectly. It also allows for choices, not only in the fonts used for your message but in exactly how your Engraving is positioned.
We can engrave Most Metals, Glass, Plastics, Wood and Jewellery including Watches and Rings.
Artwork Information & Requirements
When you place your order with The Engraving Gallery we take your exact requirements and faithfully reproduce them onto your chosen item or items as instructed. While we take great care in doing this there are times when only a certain amount of text or logo size can appear in a particular place on an item due to the size of text restrictions and size of item space. Therefore we reserve the right to use our best judgement in these circumstances, don't worry though... this does not mean you will get something completely different, it just means that we will use our expertise to produce the perfect engraved item using your instructions as a reference guide.
If we are in a situation where your particular inscriptions or layout instructions are not suitable for your chosen item, we will consult you every step of the way either by phone or email to make sure that you are perfectly happy with a) an alternative item, or b) alternative inscriptions and logo sizes to suit your chosen item.

Ordering Engravable Items
When ordering an engravable item, we sometimes have guidelines which we would ask that where possible, you could adhere to.
Please also bear in mind, that smaller items can only accommodate a certain amount of text in order for it to suit the gift. We do not restrict the number of characters in our engraving instructions as we very much want you to be able to stipulate your exact message. However, we respectfully request that you ensure the engraving length is suitable for the engraving area and size of the gift.
Logo's, Clip Art & Photographs
Logo's can come in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes. Whether your logo is simply one colour, two colours, or multiple colours with gradients and shading we can handle it all with ease.
For all logo's we would prefer the image to be sent in:
Digital Format
- file format of JPG or JPEG, GIF, PSD, TIFF, EPS, AI, CDR, PDF. while we can accept many more file formats the above formats are our most popular formats.
- Resolution of 300dpi or greater
Printed Media
If you do not have digital media to hand, you are more than welcome to post your logo, business card, letterhead, or photograph to us. We will take the greatest of care of your photographs and will ensure they are returned to you in the same condition you sent them. When sending photos please ensure they are posted in a hard backed envelope recorded delivery... we don't want your photos getting lost in the post.
If you have a particularly old, damaged cherished photo which needs restoration before we can engrave it, our team of experts can make this like new for you, although this may be charged extra depending on the restoration work involved. If this is the case then our customer service team will contact you to discuss this. Your newly restored photo will be supplied back to you on cd along with your original photo with your finished engraved item.

Trophy and Award Engraving Prices are all by Set Prices both On-Line and In Store.
